I used to patronize this place as much as I could, to shop locally and avoid going to the big box stores at the mall. Always bought Xmas wreaths from him, guy was always helpful with finding things I needed....until the winter of the Big Snow and Ice Dams, and everyone and his brother was trying to find a roof rake, which couldn't be had for love nor money in the Lower 48, it seemed. Innocently, I went in seeking this item--and I know this guy recognized me as a repeat customer--the guy was so rude in response to my question I couldn't believe it! It was in front of a bunch of male customers, which made it doubly demeaning and embarrassing for me. So I vote with my dollars and haven't been back since; I go to Katz's Ace Hardware where the customer service is always great. Too bad, I miss his wreaths, but some things you just can't overlook. I realize I was probably the 1000th person to come in looking for a roof rake but still.
