First of all, my car was broken into within the first month of living here. The manager is rarely in her office. Many days I have went to the office to find a sign saying, ""I'll be back at 11:00."" I get there at 11:15 and the sign says, ""I'll be back at 1:00."" I come back at 1:30 and the sign says, ""I'll be back at 4:00."" I come back at 4:05 and the sign says that she won't be back until the next day. This happens over and over again. It's not like I go to the office every day, usually just to pay rent or submit a work order. Scott (maintenance) works his tail off every day to keep the place looking nice, and responds to work orders as soon as he is able, but as for the rest? I had to step over some under-age kids drinkng beer on the laundry room steps to get my clothes out of the dryer. That happens quite a bit. My 12-year-old child came to me to tell me that ""some guys are smoking weed downstairs."" The people who live here are obviously comfortable without bothering to hide what they're doing, even during business hours (when someone is suppose to be in the office). To each their own, but keep it to yourself! Also, recently I received a letter on my door from the office stating that they will no longer be accepting checks for rent after the 4th. What is this, a motel? On the good side, my apartment is quiet (when there are no search helicopters circling the lawn at 3:00am) and I have a couple of pretty awesome neighbors. PS I chose not to live anywhere downtown because I hate tweekers and crackheads. Moving here didn't accomplish that.
