I loved loved loved my experience at alter ego. I just moved to Raleigh from NYC and was worried I wouldn't find a salon I liked in Raleigh. This place is trendy, artsy, and the girls that work there are super cute and nice! They offer you a beverage with your service, free of charge--I enjoyed a glass of wine. My color turned out beautifully and my haircut is fantastic. They just opened, so it's pretty easy to get an appointment now. I highly recommend alter ego!!!!!!
Pros: Very intimate urban experience since salon is on second floor.
Cons: it took a couple of minutes to find a spot, but it was well worth it. there is also a parking garage right behind the salon where you can pay by the hour.
