Review content:
I've been going to Antonio's for about 5 years..thought the food was pretty decent. As a former New Yorker I thought that it was pretty close to what I was used to back East. The owner was a nice guy, family run, etc. I went in today, and the Antonio's sign is still up along the road but it was like going to the Ukraine when I went in. It was being run by about 8 kids who were were in their late teens to early 20's. All speaking Russian...and let me say (whether it's politically correct or not) I find it very rude for the staff to be speaking in their native language in front of me. I would expect that if I went to a Russian restaurant...not a pizza joint. I had to wait an hour for a plain cheese pizza and antipasto salad that was supposed to be ready in 30 minutes. No sorry for the delay, can I offer you something while you wait, can I give you a discount because of the delay, etc. While I was waiting I watched on 4 different occasions as these kids went into these large freezers (that are along the walls and going into the dining area) and pull out large commercial jars of sauce, salad dressing, some kind of frozen appetizer and frozen gyro meat out of a box. I found that to be totally unappealing...sort of like waving a banner saying ""yes...everything we have here is ready-made!"" As for the pizza...it was ok, but the crust sucked. Very obvious that it's not fresh dough and also pre-made. And to the previous reviewer...you're right...they are not only thin, but nearly emaciated! What's up with that? Just a weird, disappointing experience. I won't be going back.
