Because of Citysearch comments about reservations, I called the day before to ask for a table. ""Our events coordinator will call you back before noon tomorrow,"" was the reply. Yeah right. When we got there at 9:30, we saw a ton of available tables upstairs. We figured they held a table and didn't call back to confirm. We figured wrong. ""Sorry,"" said the maitre d', ""we're closing the upstairs. "" Still, the staff managed to find us a booth downstairs and it was uphill from there. The waitress was friendly and really on the spot. The other customers were up and ready to mix. The music was NOT too loud. The food was okay, if not spectacular. All-in-all it was a fun night. Just don't bother with reservations. --Drink Club is a roving group of NYC drinkers Pros: friendly atmosphere, accommodating staff Cons: reservation system, upstairs closes early
