Review content:
Klipsan Beach Cottages, on the Long Beach Peninsula, is one of those secret getaways you don't want to share, but should because it's so special.
Just 9 miles north of the town of Long Beach. There are eight little cottages lined up on a tiny knoll, complete with grey shingles, overflowing window boxes and decks facing the ocean, the perfect spot for sunset watching with a glass of wine.
There’s also a larger house for rent in a little grove behind the cottages. Each cabin has a kitchen and either a fireplace or a wood burning stove, with a shed full of firewood available throughout the year to fuel the coziness quotient.
A couple minutes walk to the beach is the grand Pacific ocean. There are lovely gardens to walk through, no telephones (though, they do have TV's in all the cottages now) and very quiet, particularly during the week.
Denny and Mary Caldwell run the place so seamlessly and graciously that return guests are the mainstay of the business. A great getaway year round.
