I took my family visiting from out of town on Saturday, 6/28/08, and I was embarassed and disappointed. I bragged about the dining in the CWE and ended up having to apologize. Let's start at the beginning. We were seated fine and gave our order. There was an unusual lag in time before we received our water and tea. I ordered a small spinach salad which I had to stop eating a third of the way in because I felt something in my mouth when I bit down. an inch long piece of metal that looked like a section of a spoke for a motorcycle or a nail. Thankfully it didn't break the tissue of the roof of my mouth but I was freaked out. I brought it to the attention of my waiter and she apologized. The meal that followed for me was wild mushroom fettucini. It looked okay but was far too greasy. (I know, ""greasy noodles- gross"") The other dishes in my group were just okay. The chicken my sister had was covered with a sauce that tasted scorched/spoiled. The total cost was $80.00 (for 3 people). I wasn't charged for the salad. Pros: Al fresco dining Cons: Food is just not that good.
