I have to admit I expected a mediocre, ""touristy"" experience here but was very pleasantly surprised. OuWe were seated promptly. Our waitperson was exceptional and the food was wonderful and fresh. The crab cakes were a treat and the calimari was tender and delicious. My shrimp platter was excellent--several types of shrimp each with its own distinct character (it didn't taste like the same old shrimp just cokked a bit differently--it was better than that!). The ambience was nice and the overall experience was memorable. I have eaten at several of the Pier cafes and rate this as one of the best overall.
Pros: great wait staff, variety, fresh, quality food
Cons: a bit expensive
