Horrifying experience. And from what I am reading in Google reviews about other people being ripped off here, I am resolved to leave this review everywhere I can, so that people know what kind of place this is. Don't get me wrong, I am not vindictive -- when food and service are good, I will say so. But this was so mind-blowing, it's unreal.
It was an okay meal, and the drinks were fine but no hot shakes... but what a clueless wait staff who cannot do math and an unbelievably rude owner! They added an 18% gratuity to our bill, even though we were only a party of three. Their menu clearly said it would only be added to groups of six or more. We tipped generously (over 20%) before we realized their double-swindle.
They would not reverse it. Even when we told them we would let others know their unethical practices, the owner blatantly did not care and would not refund what they had charged the credit card. We were so appalled, we were quite nearly speechless. It negated any pleasure we could have gotten from the meal or the atmosphere. I'm betting they do this to everyone and just take for granted that no one looks at the bill. It's stealing and trickery. CROOKS, pure and simple.
