These guys have nothing to hide. If this were a restaurant it would be Craigie on Main's open kitchen front and center.
The roasting is done right there by hand and that hand isn't just pushing an on/off button. You can't just throw some dried corn kernels on a fire and expect to get popcorn...coffee works the same way.
If you don't care about the process, no problem, have a seat up front in the elegant and simple front of the room caf? and enjoy a perfectly roasted and brewed cup.
If you do care, stick around a while, inhale the fabulous smell of roasting beans and check out the somewhat ""Willy Wonka-ish"" fiddling and tweaking of a gas roaster and some beans (green coffee beans - no has beans).
Nothing to hide here...just good coffee well roasted. The one caveat is that if you don't live nearby you may start finding reasons to take a daily drive to Sudbury.
Pros: incredible coffee, masterfully roasted, kind coffee folks
Cons: okay..there is an elephant in the room but it's the logo
