AJ Spurs is one of the few non-Danish restaurants in the local area. If you're familiar with the abundance of servings at the restaurant chain ""Claim Jumpers"" then you'll understand what I mean by ""BIG"" food. Every meal comes with complimentary ""stew"" that's brought to your table immediately...regardless if you want it or not. It comes with a few condiments that allow you to ""customize"" your chicken stew. It was fun and tasty. Every entree I saw in the dinining room could easily feed two people. I barely made a dent in my steak...and didn't even touch the community cast iron pan of ""fries"". If you're ever in the Santa Ynez area...not just Buellton proper...make your way to AJ Spurs and endure the wait at dinner time. It's definitely worth it. Oh...did I mention each meal ends with a complimentary rootbeer float...or after dinner liquer?
Pros: good comfort food, friendly staff, huge parking lot
