It was bad enough when I had to go back to work because things had gotten a little tight and I had to place my son in daycare. On my way to pick up my son I had this image of him running to me and throwing his arms around me because he missed me so. The opposite was true. I walked in to his day care, Anne Sullivan School and waited for them to retrieve my son. I waited a little longer than I expected. When he saw me, he asked if I could ?come back later?, he was playing. I was both disappointed and thrilled. I had a lot of anxiety about leaving him in a strange place. Now I worry that I may no longer be the center of his world. It?s been two months and occasionally I get the hugs I was expecting. He loves the school, a beautiful country setting with lots of trees and an orange grove across the street. It?s a nice change from our little condo in Murrieta. If any of you moms, or dads, for that matter, is thinking about a preschool, I recommend you check out Anne Sullivan Nursery School and Kindergarten. My son is very happy there and I ?m thinking about their Kindergarten in September.
