I am really surprised to read all of the negative reviews of the Hawthorne Street Cafe... I've been there twice and I have been absolutely satisfied both times. The first time I went I was with a group of people- the waitress handled the group perfectly well and the food was not to die for but it was good. Last week I went with my mother and sat outside and ordered the breakfast burrito and it was delicious. In fact, I have been talking about it so often that I went on citysearch only to find the exact address so I could go back for another breakfast burrito! This place isn't gourmet breakfast, but they don't claim to be. If you're in the mood for a reasonably priced meal that tastes good and is in a nice, friendly environment, go to Hawthorne Street Cafe. Oh, and my mother ordered the daily crepe (it was apple that day) and she, highly opinionated about food, loved it!
Pros: Outdoor seating, pleasant waitstaff, reasonable prices
