My husband wanted me to take him to this restaurant for his birthday...last April. I hesitated after reading all the reviews about the awful service, but I finally booked a 6:30p reservation on a Saturday night. The hostess was very friendly, & promptly took us to our booth. The decor was calming, with enough lighting to easily read the menu, but dim enough to create a serene, private feel. All the staff were friendly. We ordered sweet bread salad, pear salad, lamb chops, butterfish, spiced apple souffle and sorbets. All of the dishes were tasty, good sized portions. The prices were reasonable for the quality of food. Best of all, we came in jeans & t-shirts. I felt compelled to share my experience so other people who have read all those negative reviews like I did would give this place a try.
Pros: friendly service, tasty dishes, good value
