Review content:
There has been alot of talk amongst those who dine that Myth will be the ultimate place to go on a regular basis ( more than 1-2x a week) because of the beautiful atmosphere, the relatively affordable prices, the impressive chef/owner, the semi-secretive tourist repellant location and the relaxed dress code. I really, really like Myth. But there is an attitude that permeates the perfectly executed deliberately darkened air here that is almost as uncomfortable as the hard wood seating. To the reviewer that mentioned the rude waiter with the French accent, you are sooooo right!!! I almost fainted when our waiter approached our table asking us if we wanted bottled mineralwater or plain in a very obvious French accent. The one and the same! The waiter from Hell! I had read the review so I was well prepared. Another gripe is the lava lamp/ mood ring mentality that announces that you have purchased the bottled mineral water by placing a lighted coaster under the bottle. What is with this!?! But to the Foodies, I must admit the food here was very, very good. The oysters were fantastic. The steak brilliant. The wine list admirable. I certainly would go back again but perhaps not on a regular basis, not until the waiter from hell pushes his lighted mineral water elsewhere. Pros: food, ambiance, price Cons: some of the waiters can have a bad attitude
