Review content:
we recently went here for our honeymoon and i was less than impressed. ill keep it short and just state things i liked and didnt like. number one, the room service choices are horrible, horrrrrible. and they have horrible hours. one of the restaurants you have to choose from in the hotel is a crappy bar that when you walk in (and this happened to us 3 times in 5 days) it smells like dirty dingy mop water and no server/bartender will appear for at least 10 minutes even though the restaurant has customers. not what i call a resort dining experience. the coffee shop is usually closed. my main gripe and my main reason for writing this review is the spa. SKIP IT! we went on valentines day and what a waste of money! first of all the massage rooms are along the back entry way to the slopes. so you can imagine how quiet it wasnt. second of all the ""lounge"" or spa waiting area seemed as if you were in a doctors office, not to mention my new husband had to stand because they could only seat 5 people. how spa like. i had this grand image of how a resort spa in colorado would look like and that bubble was quickly popped as i entered the door. i almost wanted to ask if it was a joke. and it being valentines day you would think they would at least have a strawberry or two, or something special for spending over $800 in 4 hours! the facial was boring and short. it seemed like the girl was more worried about cleaning up the room rather than talking to me about my skin. ive been to many spas and this definately is the worst ive ever seen. all in all, i will be returning to steamboat but NOT this resort. no way no how. stay in the great massive beds just dont eat there or drink there or spa there. Pros: close to mountain Cons: everything else
