Businiess name:  America's Service Station - Woodstock

Review content:
I took my 2001 1/2 ton Chevy Silverado into the station in Woodstock Georgia to have the drivers side door looked at and an estimate to make repairs. The staff was courteous and attentive on my arrival and said i would take about 15 minutes to look at the damage to the door and give me an estimate to fix it. The service owner was watching the front desk and returned in about 10 minutes with my estimate, the orignal estimate was for 240 dollars which i thought was high, after i told him i was going ot get a second opinion he knocked it down to 168.00, which i though ws a good deal for replacing door pins, bushing and the door latch assembly. The service manager said it would take about an hour to repair and we could pick it up then. Upon returning the door still would not shut, but it did not wobble as much. The nader pin was worn and had a groove in the top of it and was not allowing the door to shut properly. I asked the mechanic why he didn't just simply turn the pin over so the groove was on the bottom and he stated he didn't think of that. This is supposed to be a full service shop and he didn't think of it ? The pin was turned over and the door closed fine after this was done. The general manager told me he had never thought of turning the pin over. I just looked at him in amazement. I don't believe i will be returning to this shop, in the near future. The work was done but when a customer has to tell he what would ultimately fix the problem by a simply turn of the pin, kind of leaves me to wonder of the expertise in other matters.
