Tapa the World is my favorite midtown cafe/bar!!! The service is always great- very inviting, thorough, and knowledgeable. The food is scrumptious! You Must order the Mushrooms, rock shrimp, grilled veggies, Kobe Beef, mussles and the del sol salad!! Every dish I've tried has been awesome, so you can't go wrong!! If it's paella you crave, go on Monday nights for $5 off! I love thier fresh mint lemonade, so refreshing! They have live guitar music everynite and if you're lucky, you can catch a bellydance show at the restaurant next door! (the kasbah lounge). I've been here on weekend nights and it gets really busy and loud, make a reservation if you're a large group, or better yet go on a Sunday or Monday- much more low key. Also don't forget to end your meal with their homemade fruit empanadas stuffed with seasonal fruit and served with ice cream and caramel....DELICIOUS! The best part is, they are open til midnight, seven days a week!!
