Review content:
This brunch was an insult to the Mothers who were invited guests. While the price point for the buffet spoke of a well managed, more fine dining buffet experience, the opposite was true and included-- A 45 minute wait for a half cooked omelet (the cook was 30 omelets behind), a 30 minute wait for coffee(drinks were provided by servers only; bacon served half burned and half almost raw, (yes, the same piece of bacon), melon served sliced with the rind still in place, cold scrambled eggs, half cooked sausage, burned french toast, burned waffles, etc. Upon arrival at 11 a.m. with reservations for a buffet listed as beginning at 11 a.m., most chafing dishes were empty of food or with only a small residue of food and were unheated; the seving table was devoid of plates (upon questioning we were told plates were still in the dishwasher); a staff of two servers were to provide coffee, beverages, omelet ordering, drink service and plate clearing for reservations of 140 individuals. (Upon questioning, we were told that management had overbooked by 50 reservations. All reservations made required a credit card number ). With the exception of the service staff who were worked well past exhaustion, all in all, this was a totally mismanaged poor quality disastrous dining experience with a high end dining price point. When requested, the manager did come to discuss the situation. Initially he became very arrogant and condescending about our ""unreasonable"" expectations for a Mother's Day Brunch. He was then informed that one of our guests had worked in management at several upscale dining establishments with the same price point for a Mother's Day Brunch. After much discussion, he finally apologized for ""ruining Mother's Day"". Perhaps Montelle Winery should stay with overcharging for their bottles of Missouri wine and providing burgers, pizza and sandwiches although after this experience I doubt any of our group would return even for their ""fast food"". Pros: Beautiful Scenery Cons: Poor quality food, too few servers, Argumentative Manager,et
