Review content:
If you are anywhere near a plus size, DO NOT waste your time going here. I am an 18/20, and called in a few weeks prior to going to see if they had plus sizes, and the price ranges because I am on a budget. The man I spoke with was very polite and had great information for me. I finally visited yesterday, and it was one of the worst experiences I have EVER had in a store. Sure, the designers offer sizes up to 30, as long as you can try on a sample size 8 to do so. Now I understand that being plus size, there aren't always sizes available to try, but nothing was over a 12. But never fear, they will force you into it so the dress won't even lay properly and then use some very flattering orange construction clamps to attach it under your armpits. Then you are paraded in front of the showroom (with webcam access no less) and told to ""imagine"" the fit. I have worked hard to lose over 50 pounds before dress shopping, and all this place did was ruin every bit of confidence I've earned.
I was very upfront with my consultant about what I have looked at and tried on in the past, and gave her a clear idea of my budget. Once she figured out she couldn't force me into something I didn't want (after arguing with me and my MOH because she liked a dress on me that we didn't), her attitude changed and told me I could try on one more dress if I wanted to. (I had tried 3 on at this point.) She refused to write anything down for me. There was nothing advertising a sale, but she offered the dress I liked most at a ""deal"" for no reason. She made a comment to another bride's mother as I was leaving the room at one point! Thankfully that mom was nice enough to come up to me and compliment me on the styles that I chose and told me I knew what was looking good on me.
The message is clear here......you are fat and poor, I don't want to deal with you.
You know what? There are plenty of other places I've been to here in Columbus that carry the same things with better service.
