I was impressed with Shilla and will definitely go again. It isn't as good as Korean food in Seoul or LA, but I thought the flavors were spot on if just a little weaker than I would have liked. The seasoning on the kalbi tasted right but could have been stronger, and the flavors in my dumpling soup (duk mandoo gook) were awesome - I picked up the bowl and drank the broth when I was done. I had to add a little salt to enhance the flavors, but it was still pretty good. The kimchi was fresh but best of all was the kimchi-pickled cucumber - tasted better than my mom's! I downed it all with an OB Lager - a light Korean beer that is slightly fuller-bodied than Sapporo. I wouldn't recommend getting the Japanese dishes; this is clearly a Korean-owned Korean restaurant and the sushi was average at best. The service was pretty good. It wasn't quite as prompt as I would have liked but honestly, in my experience that's pretty common in Korean restaurants.
