Review content:
The place is not easy to find, tucked away as it is is the garden level of an unassuming building in a neighborhood hardly known for its nightlife. But once you do find it and are buzzed in the front door, you enter another world. It is, in many ways, the perfect bar. The wine list is short but good, and the cocktails are stiff. The service is likewise excellent. When they ran out of the wine I wanted, I was given a substitute absolutely gratis. As one of the last places in New York where you can smoke and enjoy a cocktail at the same time, this place is a true treasure.
