I made an appt with Dr. Purohit after finding his name on my insurance's referal website. My first impression about this doctor's office was that his receptionist seemed a bit confused. Although I was making an appointment to get my glucose levels checked, she did not instruct me to fast beforehand, or to prepare for the test in any way. Once I asked her if I should fast before, she responded with what can only be described as a ""mmmmmm, yeah?"" When I asked if I could have an appointment early in the day, she told me I could show up at 10, and ""maybe"" the doctor would see me, ""if there isn't anybody else waiting."" Preferring a set appointment time (as I would have to take time-off work), I settled for an 11:15 am appointment. --Cut to the day of my appointment. I arrived promptly at 11:10am. After ignoring me upon my arrival, the receptionist then waved me toward a sign-up sheet and continued about her business. No one bothered to give me forms until I asked. After filling out my forms, I waited for about 30 minutes. At no time did a receptionist apoligize for the delay, or even give an explanation. At 11:45, after being essentially ignored by the staff, I inquired how much longer it would be until the doctor would see me. To this, the nurse's response was ""oooh, I dunno, maybe another hour..."". AN HOUR??? After already waiting a HALF HOUR??? I promptly saw myself to the exit. This doctor's office is incredibly unprofessional. Do not waste your time.
