Review content:
I'm new to N.E. and wanted to try a new bar, So I coaxed some friends across the river from uptown to try the Bulldog N.E. with me. We picked a good night. I tried this beer that they had on special, I guess on Wednesdays they usually have a firkin, but last night they had this beer that ran through a cooler type thing from a keg next to it. It was good but not as great as some of the other belgians that they had on tap. I also had an Orstrich patty melt. I was a little hesitant but the waitress convinced me it was great. She was right! It was lean and perfectly cooked with this awesome mustard ale cheese and caramelized onions. It was different but so so good. If i hadn't already eaten my wieght in tater tots I might have gotten two. The service was relaxed and casual but attentive and knowledgable. The atmosphere was totally different than I expected. I thought it would be kind of dark and dingy with low ceilings like the other Bulldog. But it was long with super high ceilings, exposed brick and a giant bar right in the middle. I'm excited to have this kind of bar right in my neighborhood and plan to make it a regular spot!
