Let me start by saying I personally watched a day care worker snatch a little girl by her arm and swing her around full force to get her attention. All she got was my attention and began to apologize and tell me she didn't know I was there. That the child had been bad all day and deserved it. I still feel guilty for not reporting it to the police and just telling the head of the daycare. Becasue it was later I found out she was just as abusive to the children.
My son is not there anylonger and Since I moved him he has not been sick. At North Boroughs he was sick once every other week with a total of 2 counts of strep throat, 3 counts of pink eye, 1 count of lice, 6 times he had the full fledged flu and twice a stomach virus where he vomited all day and night. He had nose bleeds once a week and now one once every 3 months or so. He had come home with bite marks, bruises, scratches, bloddy clothes (I assumed from his nose) now not so sure. When I questioned this they BECAUSE THEY NEVER INFORMED ME. The head lady Barbara said you should see the other kid, that my son smallest in his class was the agressor. My son was in time out at least 4 x's a week and It broke my heart he was such a behavior problem in school. I did not see it at home and I am not just a mother who don't blame her child. I really mean I didn't see it and/or understand the problem.
UNTIL I MOVED HIM..........HE HAS NEVER BEEN BAD AT THE NEW SCHOOL, OR SICK, HE IS THE MOST WELL BEHAVED AND POLITE KID AT THE NEW SCHOOL SO, EVERY TEACHER TELLS ME. HE IS CONSTANTLY BEING REWARDED AND NEVER EVER COMING BRUISED OR IN A BAD MOOD.
Unbelievable how this day care has remained in business this long.
