Review content:
Reserved through Priceline, Name your own price. So, did not have high expectations. The experience though was unacceptable as to leave us totally appalled. We left, forfeiting our non-refundable Priceline pre-paid reservation.
We called ahead, asking for 2 beds. Were quoted an upgrade fee, which we Agreed to. upon arrival, the front desk clerk was totally overwhelmed. Did not know how to effectively use the computer. Waited for many minutes while she attempted to handle prior transaction. when it was my turn, she was totally bewildered with our reservation. Called the manager twice, he finally showed up. Charged us a higher fee than what was quoted on the phone.
Door to room had been forced open. Casing was broken. The door would not close properly nor would it lock. We requested another room. Manager came to room to see for himself. Asked, ""How did this happen?"" I replied that I had no idea. He gave us key to room next door.
Door moulding in new room was separated as if it had been forced. Manager struck it twice with heel of his palm putting it back in place, sort of and said, "" There, it is fixed.""
He then accused us of having too many people in the room. We registered three adults and one child, even though our 16 yr old would have qualified as a child.
At this point we elected to go elsewhere. As we had already pre-paid, we were now over budget so elected the Motel 6, which eclipsed the Travelodge in appearance, comfort, and certainly helpful, friendly staff.
