Review content:
Located in La Place, it's easy to get to from the large parking lot or inside the mall. The decor is contemporary and cool. Service was a bit formal, but excellent. One might think the ambiance suggests a pricey menu, but many meals seemed to be at or under $20. The fish and mac&cheese special was a mere $15. Although I appreciated the creative offerings, the food itself wasn't as good as I expected. The beet salad wasn't flavorful, and I thought it had too much beet and not enough cheese and nuts. The mac&cheese was a bit dry. The fish itself was nice, but the breading was soggy, for some reason. Maybe they were having an off night. When we were asked if we wanted bread with our salads, I didn't realize it was not gratis, but the check total was so low we didn't mind. It was good bread, and I liked the three condiments that came with it (tapenade, oil and butter). I'd go back and try it again.
Pros: Decor, service, menu selection, prices, free parking
