My Mom worked for Remodel America when they shut down. The manager told them that Friday (Dec 08) that if they recieved a check in the mail then the employees could come to work. If they didn't, then they couldn't come to work. At first we didn't understand what was going on. Then come to find out the a$$ of an owner told the plant manager to keep the employees coming in although he had no intentions of paying them. My Mom ended up not getting a check for the last 9 days of work and to beat all, she found out through the bank that the last check they gave her BOUNCED and the bank charged her a fee and wouldn't refund her. Bank of America, go figure!!! Here she is 3 weeks without pay. Luckily she was able to find a job within two weeks, but only after having to move out of her apartment due to fear of not finding another job in this ecomony. I hate this company and I hope that trash friggin pays for what he did to my Mom and her coworkers. I haven't been able to find out if they are completely out of business or just this location, but please do not support them in any way. My Mom said she had to field the phone calls from angry customers who wanted what they paid for. The managers said to tell them they were out of the office.This is a shady company and CANNOT be trusted. BEWARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
