Please take you pet to this veterinarian. Dr. Jocelyn Jacobs is the most knowledgable and caring veterinarian you will ever meet. She has been supportive and a friend when needed most when I had to, for the first time in my life, put my daughters precious pet and best friend down. Although I had never put an animal down before, Dr. Jacobs was so kind and gentle at the time that when the time comes to put down my Charlie, a 16+ year old toy poodle, I wil not hesitate to put him in her care. Most recently I was concerned that a rabies shot, which normally makes my dogs lethargic, may have been too much for him at his advanced age because the next day he would not eat, he only wanted to sleep, he was shaking and seemed to have labored breathing and although his temp was not too high (103) it was elevated. I was sure that he was going to die. It wouldn't have been a surprise considering that his heart is at a 4 on a scale of 1-5 with 5 being the worst. Because I called her office wondering if the rabies shot could have hastened the end of his life, a staff member called the next morning to find out how he was because Dr. Jacobs was worried about him but more importantly that call made me feel she was concerned for me as well. He has been a wonderful friend and family member and Dr. Jacobs treats him with more compassion than most human medicine physicians. She has always done everything she can for my dogs always keeping in mind that these animals mean more to my daughters than just being pets. These animals are a part of them and she never loses site of that. In regard to her staff, I don't know how she has done it but all of the staff is as compassionate as she is. There will never be any doubt in my mind that she and her staff will do everything possible that is best for my pets. They not only care for and about your pets, they care about you as the pet owner also. Pros: Dr. Jacobs and her support Staff Cons: A female vet on staff who took care of a kitten of mine 3 years ago. Dont remember her name. I felt she was very unprofessional and not compassionate at all toward the animal.
