No waiting to get the seat. I ordered ""Tuna Five"" first. On that dish, the middle one is the best one with the hint of yuzu, one of Japanese citrus. It was refereshing to have sashimi without using soy sauce. Then, ""Chawan-mushi"", the egg pudding. Growing up in Nagasaki, Japan, where Chawan-mushi was born, I do not think it was the best one but still it was delicious with the excellent combination of sea urchin and lobster, then lotus root. ""Sake marinated Cod"" is simply superb. The balance between the cod and the broth of shiitake mashroom is perfect. Although I failed in differenciating between ""churros"" here and ""churros"" in Mission district, it was pleasant to have sweet dessert after salty food. Dismissing this place just because it is a ""hotel restaurant"" is not wise. Campton Place and Ritz have good restaurants, too! Have fun at Ame!
