This isn't just the only tapas restaurant in worth going to in Seattle, it's also just plain the best restaurant. Everything is prepared from fresh ingredients, most of them flown in from distant countries -- venison and lamb from New Zealand, fish and spices and wine from Spain... pretty much everything they use is the best of its kind, and this is reflected in the flavor of the final dishes. This is a very tiny restaurant, and as a result it's incredibly friendly. I go there alone alone all the time and always end up striking up a conversation with strangers, usually about how good the food is. If you've got the $$$, sit at the tapas bar and ask Gordon or Jerry (the short and tall chefs, respectively) pick a feast for you. You'll eat foods you'd never imagined before and like them better than anything you've ever had. Pros: good food, authentic food, good desserts Cons: pricey
