My wife and I have wanted to try Dahlia's Bakery for some time after having read the many outstanding and glowing reviews. At last, we were able to get ourselves downtown to sample the much lauded coconut cream pie and were very much disappointed. To those who rave about this product, I can only assume that you have never tasted a proper pie crust - rich, light, and flaky. The crust on this pie had the consistency and texture of dried plaster and had little flavor as well. While the filling was creamy and had an abundance of coconut, it too lacked flavor. The mini pie is 18 bucks and does not come close to being worthy of the accolades it receives. Don't bother!!
