Since I've been in school, I've had to move every year and this often meant finding a new apartment last minute, having potential roomates bail out last minute, and having to go through several different renting agencies to find something I could afford and not get mugged at. When I had to move to Binghamton for a new job, I had to do all of this without knowing anything about the city itself. It was scary.
