Review content:
Our son first went to Weil Tennis Academy when he was 12 years old and he had been playing competitive tennis only three months. Today he is 15 years old and still living at Weil Tennis Academy where he has accomplished a tennis ranking of # 7 in So Cal and and # 43 in the Nation. He just recently won the Ojai Valley Tournament. He has grown exponentially since living at Weil Academy. He has become an independent thinker. He is successful with his school work and graduated from Junior high with a 3.91 gpa. He shares a room with someone typically from another country where he ends up learning another culture and language while just making friends. The structure at Weil is set up so well; during the school year, study hall is two hours every night Sunday through Thursday. The dorm parent is always available for the kids and she offers the boys a feeling of a home. The dining hall is set up coed and lunch and dinner are served everyday except for weekends. Because our son is going on his fourth year, he has had the opportunity to work with most of the coaches. It has been a work in progress and all of the coaches are supportive of the individual talent. In the last year and a half, our son has had the good fortune of working with Charles Irie who was once a professional player. Not only has he been a great coach but he has been able to bring experience to the ""mental"" aspect of the game as well as the ""technical"" part of the game. It is not uncommon to see the director Mark Weil observing the players training. And.....sometimes he will choose a player to get on court and rally!! A huge compliment to any of the guys. Three weeks ago our son received his first endorsement from ""Wilson"" and yesterday he just got the new Wilson rackets, sneakers, bags, string etc.....There was no doubt in our mind when we renewed the contract for fall 2011.
