Review content:
Synopsis, On a recent stop at this bank to handle a transaction that I had previously handled at this branch with no problem, I was rudely and abruptly told by the person helping me ""we cannot do it"" Firstly, let me explain that I am a long time customer of TCF and the service I requested is a very common request called a ""gift letter"" which is used for gifting money to in my case, my son for him to use as a down payment on a home loan. Also, let me explain that if the person helping kindly explained that they are no longer able to provide this service, I would of understood. This was not the case, as the bank employee was extremely short and dismissive to the point of being rude. In fact, latter the same day, the service was quickly and pleasantly provided by another TCF branch. As it turned out, the bank employee that shocked me with her curt manner actually turned out to be the manager of the branch which made it even harder for me to understand her very dismissive attitude. I don't understand how someone dealing with customers at the front lines could be promoted to manager level. TCF, are you listening? Hopefully, this review will be seen by someone at TCF that still cares about the ""customer service"" experience at TCF. Pros: The bank has many branchs Cons: 'Little or no' people skills at the manager position
