Review content:
I recently found Sparrow nestled in a quant neighborhood blocks from the downtown area. It looked fabulous, and due to its location, I expected a warm genuine dining experience. At first it seemed to be what I was looking for. We began our meal with a beautiful arugala salad perfectly dressed. Amazing rustic bread that was still warm. As the night became later, patrons at the bar wearing afixiated plastic assesories inturrupted my easy dinner conversation with loud laughter each time they frequented the bathroom. Finally, our bouilliabase (I will now attempt to critique what I cannot spell) came on an enormous plate that our table could not accomidate with the bread, water and wine (wine list is so-so, server made excellent recommendation). The calimari entirely lost its texture since it had been drown too long, and it was as though they added extra salt to the seafood dish. Hmm.... It won't be my new favorite place. Service was good, but not great... Server seemed nervous and didn't seem to like working there. Overall, too pretentious for Denver, and too cowtown for New York. Nice interior design.
Pros: atmosphere
Cons: pretentious
