Having been to Via Matta a few times and I have something to say to those people giving bad reviews. You Just Don't Know!!! Via Matta is obviously not a romantic hideway. The place is energetic and alive. Bostonians should be greatful that such a unboring restaurant exists here in the Back Bay. The REAL Italian cuisine with a little American twist is wonderful. Sure the place is a little noisy, but who else was packed on a 90 degree Tuesday night at the end of August? I suggest just asking your waiter to pick a bottle of vino for you and trying something new. The Shardana is out of ths world. Via Matta may have a few bumps in the road. But after being open only 3 months this ""Crazy Way"" is miles ahead of any other Italian restaurant in Boston. Pros: wine, service, food Cons: not much, loud for some people
