Review content:
The twice baked almond croissant (Our classic croissant soaked in simple syrup and filled with delicious almond cream. It is topped with sliced almonds and additional almond cream) is heavenly. Worth driving over the West Seattle bridge at rush-hour for. Yes, I am indeed serious.
I am on a perpetual search for the best almond croissant around and Bakery Nouveau doesn't disappoint! Why? Let me just tell you:
1. The crisp crunch of the outer layer, which contrasts amazingly with
2. The dense creaminess of the inside of the croissant
3. The lovely buttery and flaky layers of pure croissant goodness that somehow are not overpowered by the almond accents, but simply enhanced to their fullest
4. The amazing subtle burnt-sugar crisp caramelization on the bottom of the pastry
And the list of reasons goes on and on and on. Amazing stuff, y'all. If you have a hankering, get over there now! And believe me, it's worth the wait in any line that's formed out the door.
