Businiess name:  Cake Nouveau

Review content:
My wife and I love cake and when we found out that Cake Nouveau opened up in Ann Arbor we immediately went to try their cake. The store is small with a few tables and they feature four cupcake flavors every week. In addition they have cake slices. I bought a chocolate truffle cupcake, a vanilla beany cupcake, and a slice of the nutella chocolate cake. The cupcakes are much smaller than the size you would expect in NY at Crumbs Bakery for example. Each cupcake is $2.50. I found the cake to be dry, but it had a sweetness that made up for the dryness. The frosting on the other hand was not to my taste. If you like buttercream that tastes like butter then this is for you. I prefer buttercream that has a little sugary graininess to it. This frosting literally tasted like flavored whipped butter. There is another cupcake place in Ann Arbor called the Cupcake Station which has a much better product, but without the Food Network pedigree. I will be buying my cupcakes from there. Pros: good location Cons: taste of the cake, not much variety
