When I first heard of this place, I pictured a seedy waterfront tavern. To my surprise Salty's has a cozy, almost upscale feel and a great view of the Columbia river. Every dish we tried from the Poached Pear, Rouge Blue & Candied Walnut Salad to the Dungenous Crab Stuffed Salmon to the Almond Crusted Snapper with Carmelized Shallot Mashed Potatoes were quite good. The live jazz trio added a great ambiance and the wine list was extensive and reasonably priced. Great after dinner drink selection and valet parking available. The service was perfectly fine. I was pleasantly surprised.
