Bruces Auto Body (BAB) Stripmasters does a wide variety of Paint and oxidation removal using Plastic Media instead of Sand. Not only is Plastic Media Blasting safer for the enviornment than Sandblasting, it can address more substrates with lower pressure, thus reducing heat or pressure damage. A rew years ago, At BAB Stripmasters I had my 1969 VW Bug's paint removed, and was completely satisfied with the results. Since then, I have brought items such as Bed frames and Bike frames to Stripmasters to remove the Paint, with the same positive results.
