Review content:
I moved here from Portland and used to shop a lot at Fubon Grocery.
Fubon smells bad, its unorganized (at least to us Americans), the fish has guts all over the place, and my wife, daughter, and I where the ONLY white people it seemed. Which tells me that if you want authentic asian ingredients this is the place to go. Also is was dirt dirt dirt cheap. Its also set in a mall so soon as you pass through those doors its like your in another country.
Sunrise is pretty much the opposite of this. No smell, No Asians, higher prices than Fubon in PDX (Only by a few cents to a dollar), No funny smell and the organization is safe for us white Americans who are to afraid of something different.
We have been to ALMOST all the Asian Groceries in Eugene/Springfield and this is the best so far.
I may be giving up that ""Out of Country"" feeling but at least I can find what I'm looking for a bit cheaper than say a Fred Meyer would sell it for.
Pros: Organized and Decent Selection
Cons: Alittle pricier that PDX and No asian shoppers
