Review content:
I had been to Lava Bistro with co-workers a couple of times and my wife had just gone recently with a friend. She really enjoyed it and mentioned that there was a Sunday brunch and would like to go for Mother's Day. So my two sons and I took her there yesterday. There was an omelet station, a breakfast buffet (self serve), a lunch station and a desert area. We went through the breakfast buffet and overall the food was okay not great, some items were cold and the french toast had sat there too long. When the check arrived I was very surprised to see a bill for $158.00 for 4 people ($28 per adult). Part of the bill included a $24.50 service fee and we even went through the self serve buffet. I was very close to wanting to speak to the manager but let it go. Just wanted to warn you about the extra charge for the Sunday brunch, very overpriced for what you get. Needless to say there will be no more brunches for us there. Pewter Rose does a better job in that respect. By the way, it took a long time to get something to drink as well. Pros: Nice Setting, food is very good Cons: Overpriced Sunday Brunch
