Businiess name:  Applebee's
Review by:  citysearch c.
Review content:
The Andorra located Applebee's started out enthusiastically. But over the course of a dozen visits over a two-year period, I've grown tired of it and it looks like others might have too. I've been either over-attended or under-attended by waitstaff on numerous occasions. Service hints heavily of mass-production. The presentation of a sirloin burger (without a roll) on top of paper in a basket has been a major turn-off. The paper always manages to get absorbed by the meat when cut. (A chef needs to exercise some commonsense when presenting food -- meat on top of paper does not constitute pretty.) Meanwhile, their burgers are excellent -- flavorful and juicy but other Applebee offerings don't seem special (or good) anymore compared to what other neaby restaurants offer. The menu has grown stale and not even high volume advertising can make it more interesting. Pros: Excellent burgers. Good price. Full service bar. Cons: Mass production aura. Air-conditioning is often set too low (~68-70 degrees).
