Review content:
We took our four month old puppy to Hound Dog for the doggie daycare. When I picked her up she had an accident in the lobby, which was not like her. I took her outside and she peed again for about 10 seconds. I noticed how every dog that was picked up needed to go to the bathroom immediately. She slightly smelled of urine, but I figured it was from the accident in the lobby. She then slept the entire car ride home. When we got home she drank two full bowls of water and tried to eat her leftover food from the morning (she usually never eats stale food). I fed her dinner and she was still hungry, so I fed her a bit more. She pooped 4 times that night and basically slept the whole time. She also growled a lot when she came home. She typically does not growl at all and the only time we have heard her growl is when she is playing with other dogs. We got the feeling that she only interacted with dogs and no staff ever really interacted with her. We don't think she was mistreated and the staff at Hound Dog was very nice to both myself and my husband, but we think she was not supervised very much. Since she is a puppy, she usually does not go to the bathroom, or eat, when she is around other dogs because she is too excited. She also does not sleep unless she is put in a separate area. I believe she was never separated from the other dogs and was over stimulated. Might be ok for another dog, but not good for a puppy. We also thought it was odd that they did not ask to check our puppy's temperment before allowing her to roam around with other dogs. Although we paid for a second day of daycare, we did not take her back. Pros: Pretty cheap for doggie daycare Cons: Dogs unsupervised all day long
