Review content:
The Hound Dog is a great place- we've been going there for almost 2 years, and have always been met at the front desk with a friendly smile, and our dog comes home and sleeps all night (a good thing!) For those who are concerned that their dogs aren't peeing, drinking, etc. at the HD, it is probably true that they don't as much as when they are home because a dog's priority there is to play! We tried bringing food for our dog to eat during ""lunch"" and she never ate it- they explained that the dogs are just too excited to get back out and play which makes sense. She also does not smell the greatest but let's be honest- they are playing around, slobbering on each other in the dirt play area so of course they're not going to smell great. It's worth it in my opinion! The only problem I had there was that I was asked to pay for a collar that my dog supposedly chewed off- I was not only offended, but wondered how well my dog was supervised for her to chew another dog's collar off? Other than that, she's never had a scratch on her (and she plays with all the big dogs) This isn't a 5 star hotel- it's just a solid place to take socialized dogs!
Pros: Service, Low cost, Friendly Staff (know most dogs by name)
Cons: I wish it opened earlier than 7am!
