Mercury provides local Marina dwellers with a calm oasis amid the hectic traffic at the corner of Lombard and Van Ness. While the small space dictates a limited number of spirits offered, the proprietors have devised plenty of specialty cocktails to wash down the pan-Asian dishes. With small plates ranging from ahi poke and lightly fried calamari to sweet potato fries and ginger beef, this new hip eatery is sure to please. The cozy space promotes pleasant interaction with other patrons, and the bartender/waitron/DJ offers humorous repartee to smooth over any bumps in the service.
