Review content:
The Stable has a really cool atmosphere and beer selection so I was really excited to try the Bluegrass Brunch which completely fell flat on its face.
The buffet was expensive at $15.95 considering the scrambled eggs were rubbery and bland. The hashbrown casserole (which I usually cannot get enough of) was bland as well. The cook who was supposed to be manning the omelette bar was MIA the whole morning. I've had better breakfast buffets in the Days Inn Hotel lobby. The Bloody Mary bar cost $6 and was plain sad. There were some slices of celery, kalmata olives, cocktail onions but no celery salt or even celery stalks or pickles or even green olives to be found. I had more ingredients at home in my fridge to doctor up my bloody mary. The bluegrass band was just alright....pretty dull but at least they did not offend the ear. The buffet was set up right in front of the stage so the band played to the scrambled eggs and hashbrowns all morning. Our server was super sweet though.
Definitely not worth the $50 bill my husband and I plunked down to cover our bill. I would not go back or recommend this brunch to anyone. It's unfortunate because I really like The Stable and bluegrass....good idea, poorly executed.
