Businiess name:  Kipp's Lawn Mower S & S Inc.

Review content:
I needed a coil for my Honda lawn mower and called Kipp's. They had it but their price was absolutely outrageous. The lady on the phone said,""Well, you have electronic ignition!"" I have been working on just about every type of machinery for nearly 50 years and I was also an engineer and she insulted my intelligence. There is nothing ""electronic"" about the ignition. She actually seemed to imply that there was a processor on the lawnmower!!! The coil is just like coils that have been used on small engines for nearly a century. In fact, coils for Briggs and Stratton engines, Tecumseh engines, etc., are readily available at hardware stores for under $10 - sometimes less than $5. It's just an ignition coil. Unfortunately, you can't simply use one of those because they won't fit in the Honda but they do the exact same thing. The only difference is the dimensions and shape. Honda parts are expensive but, for the price she quoted me for just the coil, I could have bought a less expensive lawn mower! That's not an exaggeration. But, besides the outrageous price which, to be fair to Kipp's, is largely due to Honda's high prices, the way the woman at Kipp's insulted my intelligence convinced me not to do business with them. I hate to even think what they would have charged to actually replace the coil!
