I stopped in on a weekday morning for breakfast. There were only a handful of diners there. The television was blaring a morning show ? loud enough to prevent me from reading my book. I waited and waited for the server to come to I could ask to have the TV turned down, but, she never showed up (I still hadn't ordered at this point). So I stopped on my way out to tell her, politely, that I wouldn't be staying because the TV was too loud. I thanked her and turned to go.
